About Sarah Jones
Sarah Jones, with a background in teaching at secondary and university level in the UK and Uganda, is a Masters graduate with extensive experience in leading research projects, which develop the use of innovative and emerging technologies in educational settings. She has expertise at both developmental and project leadership levels in the variety of uses that online learning communities have in enhancing educational opportunities in different contexts, particularly in adult education and the health arena, much of which she gained whilst working at Ultralab ~ world leaders in the application of technological innovations in e-learning. She is co Director of Core Education UK Ltd ~ a not for profit educational research and development organization, which improves educational opportunities through the application of innovative uses of emerging technologies.
She is currently doing her PhD at Brunel University, is a SIG reviewer for the British Educational Research Association Annual Conference, is a reviewer for the for International Journal of Education and Development using ICT and currently sits on the Review Board for that same journal. Her professional memberships include British Educational Research Association, Association for Learning Technology, Association for the Advancement of Computing in Education and CPSquare.
When not thinking about learning technologies, she finds the occasional moment to run marathons, climb mountains, scuba dive and walk to the North Pole ….
